As i think you may aware about Khajuraho temples. The place is main attractions for some temples and yet Khajuraho is hot on the heels of the Taj Mahal, Jaipur and Varanasi as one of India's prime tourist towns. In the town you can visit Parsvanth, Adinath, ShantiNath, Ghantai, Javari and Vamana temples.
These temples are in a small village called Khajuraho village. This town or village is as small as you could walk around in about 80-90 min. it is nearly 600 Km from the south Delhi which takes nearly 12 Hours of journey.
Travel info for the place is that you could drive form Delhi taking a break in Gwalior or Orchha, which is near Jhansi. Jet Airways and Kingfisher have flights from Delhi via Varanasi.
Stay info for the place is that there are a plenty of hotels to choose from, including The Taj Chaandela, The Jass Radission and Clarks Bundela.
Eating info for the place is that the town centre itself has plenty of relaxed cafes and restaurants. The Mediterraneo is good for pizzas and pastas. The Raja Cafe does good breakfasts and snacks in a shaded garden or terrace looking out at the temples and The Madras Coffee house does good dosas.
The registered guides are quite good and can really bring Khajuraho alive. There are also headsets available for a self guided audio tour.
